FilmFlex passes 75m movie buys

FilmFlex Movies has appointed Jonathan Steel to the role of Chief Technical Officer, Nazneen Hassam as Chief Alliance Officer and Hayden Punter as Finance Director as the company eclipses 75 million movie buys from over 5,000 film titles since the company’s inception in 2005.
As Chief Technical Officer, Jonathan will play a critical role, responsible for the technical platform and software development, in advising on FilmFlex’s distribution architecture. Previously Head of Operations at FilmFlex, Jonathan will report to CEO, Jeff Henry and COO, Greig Hilton. This post is an extension of Jonathan’s prior responsibilities which included operating FilmFlex’s technical strategy, business intelligence and broadband platform evolution.
In her new role as Chief Alliance Officer, Nazneen is responsible for the extensive relationships with content and marketing partners and the client management of new and existing white label partners. As FilmFlex goes through a period of rapid growth, Nazneen will play a key role in the senior management team and will make a major contribution to the success of the business. With more than 12 years’ experience in the TV and film business, Nazneen excelled as Director of Content at FilmFlex where she shaped the content strategy and creative vision for FilmFlex across its platform for more than six years.
Hayden has been appointed as the new Finance Director following his success and achievements since joining the company in May 2008 as Finance Manager and progressing to Financial Controller, then Head of Finance. His current responsibilities include managing and reporting on the company’s financial resources, reporting to the management and shareholders of the business and operating as the company secretary.

FilmFlex has active movie content supply deals with over 30 distributors, including all of the Hollywood major studios and the UKs leading independent distributors. FilmFlex currently operates services with Virgin Media, Channel 4 and HMV. FilmFlex provides white-label movies-on-demand solutions for major brands that covers service development and platform operation, all content acquisition, management, billing and customer service. FilmFlex offers its partners more new movies to rent than iTunes, Lovefilm, Blinkbox or Netflix.
