Cox adds content to multiple platforms

TV customers of US cable MSO Cox Communications now have several new options for watching their favourite sports, news, and entertainment programming. The company has made investments in its broadband network and applications to deliver quality content to customers online, on demand, and on TV.

  • Disney/ESPN: As a part of multi-year agreement, Cox TV customers will have access to content both in-home and out-of-home on their computers, smartphones, tablets and XBox. Customers now have access to the WatchESPN family of products which includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater. Watch Disney Channel, Watch Disney Junior, and Watch Disney XD are available to customers online and on their Apple mobile devices.
  • NFL: For Cox Advanced TV customers with the Sports and Information Pak, ‘Watch NFL Network’ is available for viewing live streams of NFL Network and with subscription, NFL RedZone programming, including NFL AM, NFL Total Access, Sunday NFL GameDay shows and more. With ‘Watch NFL Network,’ customers can simultaneously watch the NFL Network and/or NFL RedZone anywhere in the US, on multiple internet-connected computers.
  • CBS: Making its first venture into the video on demand (VoD) category with Cox, CBS will join the other major broadcast networks in the MyPrimetime lineup. The majority of Cox’s Advanced TV customers will be able to watch even more of their favourite shows and series in standard and high definition the day after air, for four weeks.

In total, Cox offers a ‘second screen’ experience for over 90 channels through TV Online and TV Connect and thousands of titles through on demand.
