Veteran media executive, Jan Koeppen, who has served as Chief Operating Officer for 21st Century Fox, Europe and Asia since April 2009, has been named President of Europe and Africa for Fox International Channels, a 21st Century Fox subsidiary.

Koeppen, who will begin his new role in April, will be based in London and assumes P&L responsibility for the 94 television and online services in 88 countries that make up FIC’s portfolio across Europe and Africa. FIC Europe and Africa’s revenues exceed $1 billion and include leading channel brands Fox, Fox Sports, Fox Life and National Geographic Channel and JV’s including EMM in The Netherlands.

“It is a thrill for me to join Fox International Channels. I have long been a fan of how FIC has created and grown a truly great business all over the world,” said Koeppen. “FIC’s unrivalled portfolio connects with viewers, advertisers and distributors across the entertainment, sports, factual and lifestyle genres. I look forward to working with Hernan and the incredible team to build on FOX International Channels’ global leadership.”
