S3 Group, a specialist in enhancing the performance and service readiness of video platforms across connected devices, has been selected by Germany’s largest cable MSO Kabel Deutschland, to help it scale and validate video services on various consumer premises equipment (CPE).

Kabel Deutschland will use S3 Group’s video test automation platform, StormTest Development Center, for advanced, end-to-end service validation capabilities in both test and production environments. Specifically, it will be used for live service monitoring, channel line-up validation, A/V and caption quality assurance, and more. The platform will interface with Kabel Deutschland’s headend to validate video service configurations, and integrate with CPE to test services and simulate subscriber viewing experiences prior to deployment. The use of StormTest Development Center will help QA and operations personnel to assess the performance and service readiness of video services across connected devices.
