BBC Worldwide appoints Mukaddam GM of CEE

BBC Worldwide has announced the appointment of Salim Mukaddam as General Manager and Vice President, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Mukaddam’s new role will have responsibility for Content Sales, Formats and Channels for the business across CEE. More widely, he will also play a key role in CEMA’s management team for the broadcaster. His former role was Director, Music in the Content division at the BBC’s commercial arm.

Grant Welland, Executive Vice President for CEMA made the appointment. Commenting on Mukaddam’s promotion he said: “I’m looking forward to seeing Salim bring his entrepreneurial spirit and passion to our operations in CEE. We’re delighted to have him on board for such a key role within the management team at CEMA.”

Having trained and qualified as an Intellectual Property Lawyer at city firm Nabarro, Mukaddam joined the Internet, Interactive and Music division of BBC Worldwide in 2005. He then progressed to take over the international radio sales business, BBC Radio International in 2007.
