May 23, 2018

Greek multiplay operator Nova has renewed its agreement with Discovery, who it describes as “a valued partner for the last 18 years”.

The agreement renewal ensures that Nova subscribers will continue to enjoy the top channels embedded in the Discovery network.

Nova is now the only pay-TV platform in Greece, where the Discovery network channels are transmitted via satellite, and it continues to deliver consistently to its subscribers unique viewing experience of high-level content.

The new agreement with the Discovery network also includes on demand rights for the distribution of content on the TV screen, as well as simultaneous viewing on laptops, tablets and smartphones through its i Nova Go service so that its subscribers can follow their favourite show whenever and wherever they wish.

“We are very happy for the renewal of our multi-year collaboration with our close partner, Discovery,” commented Katerina Kaskanioti, Forthnet’s Pay TV Director. “The agreement renewal is a proof of our commitment to Nova’s subscribers for the provision of exceptional TV content on Nova’s pay-TV platform”.

“We highly value the continuation of our partnership with Nova through which we will keep delivering on our promise to serve loyal and passionate audiences in Greece with content that inspires, informs and entertains across every screen,” added Andrey Stoychev, Head of Commercial development, Distribution, Sports & Commercial Operations CEEMCA.
