Spanish TV group Mediapro is consolidating its position in the Latin American market following an alliance with Vice Studios to develop and produce original TV series for the continent.

The first TV series as part of the deal is Border Republic, which is about the conflict between US and Mexico concerning the migrants and with the wall under construction on the border of the two countries.

Mediapro is also expanding into Japan following a deal with Hulu Japan to distribute exclusive rights to four seasons of Vis a vis (‘Locked Up’), a TV drama produced by Mediapro’s Globomedia.
