January 23, 2019
One Media iP, the digital media content provider that exploits intellectual property rights around music, video and copyright technology, has signed a long-term deal for a selection of its music legend videos to be distributed on Stingray’s Qello platform. Qello is an OTT streaming service for full-length concerts and music documentaries on-demand – reaching users in more than 160 countries.
The deal will see a raft of One Media iP content being made available on the platform, including performances from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Children’s Ballet as well as over 75 episodes of the Rock Legends documentary series, which includes interviews with David Bowie, James Brown and Marc Bolan among others.
Commenting on the deal, Alice Dyson-Jones, Managing Director of One Media iP, said: “Through the huge success of recent films such as the Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody we’ve seen that there is a resurgence in demand from consumers to watch music related content, as well as listen. The landscape for premium streaming content is changing rapidly, and live music performances have the capability to reach far beyond the stages on which they were originally played. We are thrilled to be tapping into that experience by distributing our catalogue of music related video content through this great platform.”
