Vivicast confirms network deal with RCN

Following on the recent announcement by RCN Cable to deliver 4k channels to its subscribers in Boston, New York, eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, Vivicast Media has signed an agreement to license three of the distribution company’s global 4k channels to the leading cable provider, it was announced jointly by Stuart Smitherman, President of Vivicast Media and Chris Fenger, COO of RCN.
Beginning this month, RCN customers with 4K-enabled set-top-boxes will have access to Vivicast Media’s premier channels including:
- Travelxp 4k, the multi award-winning network that serves as the world’s first and only travel programming destination broadcasting in 4k high dynamic range (HDR).
- C4K360, the only 100% 4k Ultra High Definition lifestyle entertainment channel aimed exclusively at the millennial and generation Y markets, including extreme sports, gaming, lifestyle, travel destinations, e-sports, concerts and festivals – all in 4k Ultra HD.
- Ambiance, a breathtaking television destination for 4K audiences presenting a wide array of original programming filmed around the world in UHD by top nature cinematographers.
