DAZN appoins Elder as Chief Corporate Communications Officer

July 8, 2019

DAZN, the global sports streaming platform, has announced that communications veteran Nancy Elder has been appointed the company’s first Chief Corporate Communications Officer and a member of the organisation’s executive committee. Elder will lead a team based in New York and London, reporting to DAZN Group Executive Chairman John Skipper.

In this newly created global role, Elder will be responsible for DAZN’s corporate brand, building the company’s standing internationally with key business media and external stakeholders, and drive its social responsibility initiatives. The DAZN platform is now live in nine countries across four continents since launching in 2016.

“Nancy’s hire is an important step for DAZN as we continue to mature as a company,” said Skipper. “Her vast experience will help accelerate our plans to establish the DAZN corporate brand within our markets and the broader business community.”

Elder joins DAZN with more than 25 years of communications experience, having served as Chief Communications Officer for both Mattel and JetBlue Airways. Additionally, she held senior communications, strategy and marketing roles with Time Warner, General Electric and Mastercard.

“Like many, I’ve been carefully watching DAZN’s ascension over the past few years and can’t think of a more exciting business to join,” said Elder. “In discussing this role with the executive team, I’m invigorated by the company’s ambitions and strategic plans for continued growth.”

Elder will begin as Chief Corporate Communications Officer immediately.
