W-Sport launches across Sub Saharan Africa

W-Sport, the dedicated women’s sports concept which includes the world’s first 24/7 linear sports channel, has now successfully launched in Sub Saharan Africa. W-Sport is available immediately in 16 territories in the region including Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana. Additional distribution partners will be announced shortly.

W-Sport’s launch slate of content includes a mix of live and near live premium event coverage across numerous sports as well as topical magazine programming and archive classics.
W-Sport has revealed a portfolio of live football content with up to 7 live football matches per week. England’s Barclays Women’s Super League, Germany’s Frauen Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, the Netherlands Vrouwen Eredivisie, Australia’s W-League and the recent ICC tournament have all found their home in Sub Saharan Africa with W-Sport. Additionally, the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series and the best 3×3 national team competitions, the W Series all female single seater motorsport championship, the Super League Triathlon, Extreme E, Athletes Unlimited Volleyball, Softball and Lacrosse from the US, the UCI World Tour event Paris/Roubaix and Lioness Boxing will all feature live on W-Sport this autumn.
