Amir Khan Crypto Fight Night on FITE
October 12, 2021
Super Boxing League (SBL) will present the Amir Khan Crypto Fight Night on October 16th at La Perle DBX in Dubai.
The first of its kind event, supported by the World Boxing Council (WBC) and Savy Capital, will showcase the UAE as a future hub of Blockchain while bringing the growing crypto and boxing communities together. An NFT auction will cap off the night, benefiting the Amir Khan Foundation’s humanitarian work. The entire night streams exclusively on FITE.
“Get ready and be prepared to witness high adrenaline action unlike anything you’ve seen before!” said Khan, SBL Chairman.
In the Main Event, RookieXBT will fight loomdart, both cult hero crypto traders. Canadian RookieXBT is one of the youngest traders to have gained influence, and is known for his fearlessness, having won and lost fortunes by the age of 15. Loomdart, on the other hand, is one of the most experienced, and respected voices in Crypto. The winner will walk away with the first ever WBC Crypto Belt.
In the Co-Main, New Zealand big-hitter Hemi ‘The Heat’ Ahio (17-0-0, 12 KO’s) will face Dubai KO king Mohammed Ali (17-2-1, 17 KO’s) for the vacant WBC Middle East Heavyweight Title.
More Crypto celebrities fighting include Profit Maximalist podcast host Luke Martin vs trader Barney the Boi; entrepreneur Raghav ‘Reggie’ Jerath vs Foz, the co-founder of Gath3r Network; and leading British trader Adam ‘Cass’ Craigmile vs Ahmed, of the US. The undercard also features the debuts of two hot prospects, both with ties to Khan; the UK’s ABA Youth Champion Abdul Khan, who is Amir’s cousin, and Tal Singh, the England Boxing National Champion, who Khan manages.
RookieXBT said: “I’m happy to be participating in an event that brings the crypto family together in a way that’s never been done before. It’s extremely humbling. I’m looking forward to this event being a success and hopefully something that happens annually.”
Loomdart commented: “There’s something beautiful about being able to say that getting involved in crypto has led to me fighting some dude I’ve never met before. I can’t wait for these to be regular events and let people get revenge for getting dumped on.”
