December 10, 2021

Marcus Lindén, who until recently was Head of Development for Telia Media and Entertainment, joins Magine Pro as the new Head of Engineering.

Lindén has a long background within digital media and OTT services, primarily at TV4 and Bonnier Broadcasting. In his latest role at Telia he was driving the integration of common platforms and services in the merger after Telias acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting. Marcus has also worked for Telenor where he led the development of digital channels for the consumer business.

“We are very pleased to have him on our team as we continue our journey to be one of the leading platforms for streaming, offering advanced SaaS solutions and managed services  to serve the international mid tier of streaming services.” says Matthew Wilkinson, CEO of Magine.  “Marcus’ experience from developing and running two of the major Scandinavian OTT services, C More, TeliaTV  and TV4 Play, has great value for us when further developing our platform that serves entertainment and sports services mainly in Europe and US.”

“MaginePro is in a great position for lean and nimble growth of the product and its SaaS business. Great people, well engineered solutions and optimal company size. Not too big, not too small, says Lindén. I look forward to contribute with my experience in growing and innovating streaming products in media and enterprise environments”

In parallel Magine Pro has hired Daniel Ottestigas the new People and Organisation Manager, responsible for Human Resources and Organizational development. He was recently Head of HR in Sweden and Finland for Willis Tower Watson, the global advisory and solutions company within risk management.

“Even though being a SaaS platform, Magine Pro is in many ways a people business.  Daniel’s task will be to develop the Magine Pro organization further to strengthen our offering to partners.” says Matthew Wilkinson, CEO

“The journey of improving and challenging the ideas of how people and organisations are set up and run will never stop”, says Ottestig. “ I like to think that everything can be improved, and my job here at Magine Pro will be to facilitate and drive this forward motion. To hold and be held accountable for how the people aspect of our business is run.”
