Moonbug appoints Zahid to head APAC distribution

Moonbug Entertainment, a part of Candle Media, has announced the appointment of Yasmin Zahid as the company’s new head of distribution and brand partnerships, APAC.
Reporting to Nicolas Eglau, managing director of EMEA and APAC, Zahid will be responsible for strategising Moonbug’s long-term growth in APAC to build out global franchises. Zahid replaces Kelly Cooke who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.
Zahid previously served as the executive vice president and head of affiliate and B2B distribution at WarnerMedia, overseeing the successful launch of HBO GO in markets across Asia in the midst of the pandemic.
“Moonbug Entertainment has some of the world’s most well-known brands and content that kids and parents love, such as CoComelon, Blippi, and Oddbods just to name a few,” said Zahid. “I am excited to be part of the Moonbug family to expand its footprint in APAC, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Zahid will start her role at Moonbug on July 17th.
