Clearplay taps MyStreme

September 29, 2023

MyStreme ihas announced partnership with the specilaist in studio-approved content filtering, Clearplay. This partnership is a major leap forward in MyStreme’s promise to its investors, and a major expansion for Clearplay’s audience, which is currently limited to PC users.

Clearplay provides its customers with the ability to filter content depending on preferences for language, nudity, violence, and other content that can be objectionable due to age or cultural norms in a household. These powerful tools work with Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+, Max and Netflix, as well as Paramount+, Showtime, Starz and Freevee. As development with the MyStreme App from OneDoor Studios continues, this sought after feature will be available on smart TVs, mobile and tablets. Additionally, MyStreme will integrate new features including news and sports filtering options, community interaction and crowdsourced content curation.

Clearplay championed the Family Movie Act, which was passed by Congress in 2005. Although others provide aggregation and filtering, Clearplay is currently the only filtering company that has remained compliant with copyright law. As part of MyStreme’s agreement, the company is also discussing the use of Clearplay filtering data to train an AI recommendation engine or even generate more advanced filtering.

“One of our core values is ‘Everyone has Boundaries’,” said John Lee of MyStreme and OneDoor Studios. “We love studio content. Our partnership with Clearplay brings us access to more of it. Our fan obsession includes building trust. Providing filtering for the top 10 streaming providers through our collaboration with Clearplay is a great start.”
