Ghana’s Football Association (GFA) has pulled out of a $17.9 million agreement have its games covered by pay-TV operator StarTimes Group.

GFA has instead invited broadcasters and media organisations to make new bids for the TV and radio rights with a deadline for bids being December 10th.

The GFA offer on the table includes its own Premier League, the National Division One games, the MTN FA Cup as well as the Women’s League and Ghana Juvenile League, and will run for a suggested 10 years.

One of the GFA’s issues with StarTimes was the media group’s contracted promise to finance and build 10 new pitches around the country, which hasn’t happened.
