AMC extends F1 rights in Czech Republic, Slovakia

AMC Networks International Central Europe has signed a three-year contract deal extension with Pragosport to broadcast Formula 1 exclusively in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The deal, which runs through 2020, secures for the sports channels Sport1 and Sport2 exclusive live coverage of all races and qualifying sessions of Formula 1, plus also the broadcast of the support races, Formula 2 and GP3.

Since 2015, we have demonstrated our commitment to Formula 1, offering fans dedicated commentators and excellent broadcasting which has become a great success in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are proud to say that Sport1 and Sport2 in these territories will continue to be identified with such a valuable brand as Formula 1.”
In addition to Formula 1, Sport1 and Sport2 will broadcast such premium events as the KHL, the Champions Hockey League, the European qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Serie A, Ligue 1, as well as the EHF Champions League.
