The Boxee Box by D-Link, which delivers movies, TV shows and video from the Internet to any TV, ships to customers in the US and Canada this week. Ooyala publishers will be among the very first to take advantage of this new content distribution channel.

Ooyala, a provider of online video services and applications, has formed a partnership with Boxee that enables Ooyala publishers to distribute web content to living rooms everywhere via the Boxee Box — and get Ooyala’s best-in-breed real-time viewership analytics. The United Football League (UFL) is the first Ooyala publisher to begin “boxcasting” by sending a full slate of league games through Boxee.
