KDG adds subs

Kabel Deutschland (KDG) added 127,300 digital premium pay TV subscribers in the year to September 30 for a total of 1,135,300. ARPU reached €13.08 for its fiscal second quarter, up from €11.88 a year earlier.
In the quarter KDG added 64,000 internet and phone customers, taking the company’s total to 1.21 million. The company’s overall subscriber base declined from 9.006 million to 8.846 million with losses from its basic service. Total revenue-generating units grew year-on-year to 12.314 million from 11.841 million.
KDG posted revenues of €396 million for its second quarter, up from €368 million a year earlier. It posted a net loss of €5.8 million for the quarter, compared with a net loss of €16.4 million a year earlier.
