September 11, 2012

AirTies, the Digital TV and wireless technology company based in Istanbul, announced that it won the “Home Networking Award” for its Air4742 wireless streamer in the ConnectedWorld.TV’s Consumer Award for the second year in a row.  In association with the IBC Connected World, the ConnectedWorld.TV Awards celebrate the exciting developments in television and video consumption at the intersection of broadcast and broadband.  The Connected Home Networking Award recognises the efforts of those companies that are seeking to simplify the legitimate sharing of content between household members and different devices owned by a family.

The Air4742 is the world’s first integrated, high-speed 600+300 Mbps dual-band concurrent video streamer. It is a complete home networking device that allows users to stream media to tablets, smart phones, smart TVs, set-top boxes and printers. The Air4742 utilizes 4×4 MIMO and 802.11n to deliver unprecedented wireless performance for real-time video distribution and data transmission. The concurrent dual-band accommodates legacy devices and other wireless devices over 2.4GHz while streaming high-speed video over 5GHz.

Philippe Alcaras, CEO at AirTies, commented, “We are honored to receive this industry award for our Air4742 from a pool of highly qualified companies. Our technology is the industry’s first wireless dual-band 600+300 mbps network solution to overcome the issues of interference, latency, slow wireless speeds and limited coverage range. AirTies is going a step further in making the connected home a reality by prioritising user experience, ease of use and service provider compatibility. This accolade, now for a second year in a row, corroborates the demand for AirTies’ vision of a completely connected wireless life.”
