RTS NI Welcomes Noel Curran as keynote Speaker for Dan Gilbert Memorial lecture

Noel Curran, Director General of RTÉ will deliver the key note speech at this year’s Royal Television Society (RTS) Northern Ireland Dan Gilbert Memorial Lecture in the Europa Hotel on Thursday 29th November.

With more than 20 years of experience in Irish broadcasting, in both print and television, Noel is a prominent industry figure and the lecture will offer an insight into the challenges faced by RTÉ in a declining advertising market with an increasingly demanding audience.

Michael Wilson, Chairman of RTS NI said: “We are delighted to welcome such a distinguished figure from the world of Television to Northern Ireland to deliver this lecture. His insights and experience will be of particular interest to those working in the industry and those wishing to pursue a career in broadcasting.”

Hosted by journalist and writer Stephen Price, this will be the first time Noel Curran has spoken in in Northern Ireland since his appointment in November 2010 as Chief Executive Officer and Editor in Chief at RTE.
