The Eurosport Group has secured an agreement with the Premier League to broadcast live and exclusive coverage of the Barclays Premier League football in Romania, for 2013-2016. Coverage will start this weekend with Eurosport broadcasting matches played on December 21st.

The Romanian version of Eurosport will broadcast live Premier League matches on every match day. The coverage will also feature extensive highlights of all matches.

The Eurosport Group has also acquired all Internet and mobile broadcast rights. Fans in Romania can watch live matches via the Eurosport Player, the company’s online simulcast service on PC, mobile, tablets and connected televisions.

Premier League Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore, said: “Eurosport has invested in Premier League broadcasting rights in the past and we are extremely pleased to be working with them again. It has an excellent track record in sports broadcasting and I am sure it will deliver a premium offering that will showcase the Barclays Premier League to football fans in Romania.”
