March 19, 2014
Second-screen platform provider Monterosa has confirmed that London Live will deply its LViS Studio, a platform that allows producers and advertisers to create, pilot, deploy and monetise second-screen apps across devices and social platforms.
Under the deal with London Live, which is launching March 31st, Monterosa and LViS Studio will provide the new 24/7 London TV channel with its ‘interactivity backbone’. The platform will be integrated with Chyron graphics to provide real-time on-screen visualisation of interactivity, allowing producers to push results to the TV screen whenever they choose.
Anna Cronin, Head of Digital at London Live said: Interactivity will be at the heart of what we do. We have incorporated the latest technology into our newsgathering services that mean we will be faster, more reactive and more detailed than anyone else about what is happening in the capital, this app will allow us to be truly interactive with London.’
Tom McDonnell, CEO of Monterosa, added: “Interactivity with TV is most successful when producers can use the tools and manage the processes themselves. LViS Studio will give the London Live team full control. With a range of LViS Apps for news, entertainment and sport set to launch over the coming year, interactivity will be more integrated into London Live than into any TV channel in the UK. We are proud to be involved at the inception of such an exciting new channel.”
