Most broadcasters ever to cover Chelsea v Man City

Jose-Mourinho-footballOn January 31st, Stamford Bridge will play host to record number of broadcasters attending a Barclays Premier League match. The action on the pitch will be made available to Premier League fans all over the world as 26 television broadcast crews cover the match in person.

The attending Premier League rights holders include NBC Sports (US), beIN Sports (Middle East and North Africa), NowTV (Hong Kong), ESPN Brasil and Viasat Sweden, as well as the Premier League’s Kazakhstan rights holder, KazSport, who will be making their first visit to a Premier League match. All of the broadcasters will send their own television crews and reporters.

There will be 24 international rights holders in attendance, including Premier League Productions, in addition to UK broadcasters Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

The previous record was set at Manchester City v Manchester United on April 30th 2012 in another first versus second-place tie. A total of 19 Premier League rights holders sent crews and commentators to that match.
