Hungary: More Champions League for AMC

March 12, 2015

zlatan-footballThe sports channels of AMC Networks International – Central Europe will broadcast more live Champions League matches than ever in Hungary in the next three years. The company that operates Sport1 and Sport2 will provide live coverage of over 60 Champions League matches per season, in HD quality.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and AMC Networks International – Central Europe (AMCNI CE), owner of a portfolio that includes Sport1 and Sport2, concluded a contract that grants broadcasting rights for three channels of the AMCNI CE (with Sport1 and Sport2 in the focus, of course) to show Champions League matches live on every Tuesday and Wednesday between August 2015 and June 2018, in every kick-off time.

“I feel tremendously proud that we managed to increase the number of Champions League matches we broadcast more than threefold. The channels in our portfolio will cover over sixty matches live in every season, which is a clear proof of our owner’s commitment to quality sports events. We’ll show the top teams from England to Italy, and no matter what you want to see, be it Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich or Roma, you’ll find it in our program”, said Levente B. Málnay, CEO of AMC Networks International – Central Europe.
