Kabel Deutschland profit €239m

Kabel Deutschland, Germany’s largest cable operator, has reported net profit of €239 million for the fiscal year ended March 31st 2015, compared to a net loss of €68 million in the previous fiscal year.

EBITDA amounted to €939 million compared to €910 million one year earlier; an increase of 3.3 per cent.

The Group reported revenue growth of 6.3 per cent year on year to €2.02 billion. TV business revenue increased by 0.7 per cent and Internet & phone business revenue grew by 15.3 per cent.

The number of pay-TV and DVR subscribers rose by 224,000 to 2.5 million. 2.1 million customers have now signed up for the commercial ad-supported FTA TV channels in HD quality for an extra monthly fee, up from 1.7 million last year.
