Altice selects ARRIS for edge

March 16, 2016

Global telecommunications company Altice has selected the E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS International to enable the delivery of gigabit Internet services to its subscribers.  Altice will deploy the ARRIS E6000 CER with SFR in France and Orange-Tricom in The Dominican Republic, and it will expand the E6000 CER footprint in its recently acquired US property, Suddenlink Communications.

The deployments expand the sizeable list of global service providers that have chosen the ARRIS E6000 CER on their journey to offering gigabit-speed services. The market-leading E6000 CER offers a clear path to DOCSIS 3.1 and also enables significant operational savings in terms of rack-space real estate, power consumption and cooling requirements.

“Altice is fast-becoming a major player in the global pay TV market, and it’s an exciting time for ARRIS to be collaborating with operators from the Altice Group around the world. Selecting the ARRIS E6000 CER is a strategic technology investment for Altice that benefits its global operations today and into the future,” said Bruce McClelland, President of Network & Cloud, Global Services at ARRIS.
