SoftAtHome, a software provider for operator CPE devices enabling convergent services for the digital home, has integrated Dolby Atmos and light surround unique technology in its immersive 360° TV experience demo, showcased at IBC.
Dolby Atmos brings the ultimate cinema sound experience to home theatres to create powerful audio that flows around the end-user. Dolby Atmos is the first cinematic audio format in which sounds exist as individual entities. In Dolby Atmos, any sound can be precisely placed and moved anywhere in a room, including overhead, to flow above and around the end-user in three-dimensional space.
“We are delighted to have added Dolby Atmos experience to bring a new component to immersive experience in a home-like environment,” said Michel Degland, CEO of SoftAtHome. “Combining audio objects brought by Dolby with the creative power of UHD, enables an unmatched immersive experience. SoftAtHome is always looking to combine new disruptive technologies to open a new world of entertainment in the Operator reach.”
