Wochit expands Getty deal

May 4, 2017

Social video creation platform Wochit has announced an expanded, exclusive API deal with Getty Images, a specialist in visual communications. The multi-year agreement will bring users of Wochit’s semi-automated platform real-time access to content generated by Getty Images’ global network of over 200,000 contributors.

Expanding on a relationship in place since 2012, the new agreement with Getty Images will provide mutual customers seamless access to pre-negotiated asset libraries, as well as premium creative content of the highest quality for all Wochit customers, all via the Getty Images API.

Joachim Schmaltz, VP Global Content Partnerships at Wochit, commented: “Getty Images is top of mind in any conversation about news and creative visuals. By deepening this relationship, we are better able to fulfill our mission to support effective video-based storytelling by journalists, media companies and other content creators globally.”
