AMC Networks International – Central & Northern Europe has signed a new distribution deal for its AMC channel. Effective immediately, Croatia’s subscription television provider Vipnet will add AMC to its basic channel package.
The new deal will see AMC launching for the first time within a basic cable package for Vipnet TV subscribers in Croatia. This new launch, part of AMC’s continued expansion in the Adriatic region, follows last year’s agreements with United Group to bring AMC to new subscribers across Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Slovenia.
Commenting on the new agreement, SVP of AMC Networks International – Central & Northern Europe, Levente B. Málnay said: “We have a clear focus on the Adriatic region where Vipnet, a member of the Telekom Austria Group, is a key partner. We are delighted to bring AMC’s distinctive original programming, including the upcoming season two debut of ‘Preacher’ and world premiere episodes of the new season of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ to Vipnet subscribers later this year. This new launch highlights the growing demand for AMC in the region, and we will continue our mission to bring premium original drama series to viewers at the same time or within days of the US premieres.”
