Changes to Fox Networks UK team

September 12, 2017

Shoshana Wilson has been named Head of Programme and Scheduling, Fox Networks Group (FNG) UK. Currently Director, Global Acquisitions in the regional European Team, in this new role, Shosh will be responsible for all programming and scheduling for the full FNG UK channel brands, including FOX, National Geographic, NatGeo WILD and YourTV.

Following a career spanning over 40 years, Ford has made the decision to retire and will be stepping down from his position of FNG UK MD and SVP, Original Content Europe & Africa at the end of the year. He will continue to work with FNG E&A in a consultancy capacity in the first half of 2018, under his Original Content remit, as he continues to develop and deliver the original content strategy. This includes the launch of the first regional scripted commission Deep State, the Mark Strong fronted espionage thriller from Matthew Parkhill and Emmy award-winning Executive Producer Hilary Bevan Jones. Deep State will air in over 50 territories across the region in Spring 2018.

Recruitment is already underway for both Wilson and Ford’s replacement, more details to be announced in the coming months.

“Shoshana has been an incredibly important part of our European programming team and I’m delighted that she will be stepping up into this new role, to focus solely on our UK business, as we create some of our most ambitious schedules for our British viewers,” said Diego Londono, Chief Executive Officer, FNG Europe & Africa. “With a career spanning over 40 years, Jeff Ford is synonymous with the UK Television industry. Since joining our organisation in 2015, Jeff has been instrumental in the success of our UK business, alongside creating and launching our original scripted content strategy for the region. Following his decision to retire at the end of the year from his full-time role, we are thrilled that we’ll continue to be working closely with Jeff well into 2018, as we launch our first regional commission Deep State in over 50 markets across the region.”
