Canal+, M6 strengthen channels deal

France’s Canal+ Group and the M6 ​​Group have agreed a global partnership for M6 ​​content in Canal+ packages.

Canal subscribers will be able to continue to have access to the M6 ​​Group’s channels (M6, W9, 6ter, Teva, Paris Premiere, M6 Music, Girondins TV and M6 Boutique la chaîne) and their associated services and will soon be able to enjoy content and additional services:

More non-linear programmes

  • Replay beyond seven and 30 days for some programmes;
  • The possibility of accessing all the same season’s broadcast episodes, and for certain series, to catch up on the previous season;
  • Previews available from 24 to seven days in advance, including, for example, the first episode of the series This is us from January 22nd before the scheduled January 24th

New features associated with M6 Group content such as start-over, resume playback, the ability to download content for offline viewing (download to go), and the upcoming innovative features of ‘augmented TV’.

The full range of programmes and features will be available on TV and via My CANAL on mobile devices. This agreement also covers Tv by Canal offerings available today on the Free, Orange and Bouygues Télécom pay-TV platforms.

The agreement is accompanied by a new and expanded partnership with Vivendi around Dailymotion. The users of the platform will benefit from the iconic short series of M6 Group channels, a selection of highlights and flagship programmes (entertainment, daily appointments, information, etc.) and content produced exclusively for the web by the Golden Moustache label.
