The partnership is a sign of SF Studios’ increasing commitment to develop more TV content for the Nordic market. The two companies are currently co-producing The Hunters (“Jägarna”), a TV drama sequel based on the box-office feature film hits The Hunters and False Trail. The series will premiere in the Nordics on C More later in 2018, and is featured at the Gothenburg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision summit this week.
“I am extremely happy with the agreement with Harmonica”, says Tim King, EVP Production at SF Studios and continues ”Stefan Thunberg and Björn Carlström are fantastic creatives who have proved themselves time and time again in different film and TV productions. Their tight partnership with Per Janérus, who has a long experience in production, makes Harmonica an extremely interesting and exciting company for us to team up with”.
The production of The Hunters has proven to us SF Studios’ and Tim King’s comittment to, and understanding of, the complex road to delivering high quality drama. Their dynamic organization matched with Harmonica’s focus on solid storytelling is the strongest base we could dream of. We are very pleased in joining forces this way”, says Per Janérus, CEO and Producer at Harmonica Films.
Some of SF Studios’ recent productions alongside Jägarna include Borg McEnroe, Bamse, Lasse-Maja and the TV series Rita, Alex and Advokaten.
