VeEX delivers portable CPRI 10 test set for 24 Gbit/s FTTA and DAS deployments
March 5, 2018
VeEX, a global player in telecom, CaTV, fibre, transport, and broadband access, has announced the industry’s first, field portable test solutions to verify Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) for all CPRI rates from Rate Option 1 (614.4 Mbit/s) to Rate Option 10 (24.3 Gbit/s) in accordance with CPRI standard specification v7.0. Available on its next generation universal RXT-6000e and RXT-6200 Universal 100G test modules, CPRI Rate Option 10 gives field technicians the capability to install, troubleshoot and maintain C-RAN (Centralised RAN) up to the highest bandwidth currently available.
Testing connectivity and data integrity between the remote radio head (RRH) and baseband unit (BBU) from 614.4 Mbit/s up to 24.3 Gbit/s is critical for Mobile Operators who need to guarantee service coverage or validate capacity increases in their fronthaul Radio Access Network (RAN). This complete solution offers dual test ports for independent and simultaneous measurements or can be configured to perform bi-directional monitoring. It also provides high accuracy link delay measurement, a critical performance parameter for low latency 4G-LTE and 5G applications.
The RXT test modules also offer Ethernet and OTN testing up to 112 Gbit/s so no part of the fronthaul, backhaul or core transport network goes untested.
The industry-leading RXT-6000e and RXT-6200 100G test modules, with 24G CPRI 10 and 32G Fibre Channel, will be on display at OFC 2018 Booth #1823.
