Greece has a new pay-TV operator in the shape of cellular telco Wind. It has launched its new service, Wind Vision, with more than 60 channels as well as direct access to Netflix as well as direct access to Google services.

“Our entry into the pay-TV market, with the new Wind Vision service, is a historic moment for our company and is a new development pillar to be added to Wind’s transformation,” said Nassos Zarkalis, President and CEO at Wind, as he officially launched the new service.

“Having worked intensively for one and a half years and through significant investments, we are presenting a new, completely different way to watch television and video content. A new TV experience that marries the world of Internet and TV in an environment that incorporates all options and connects households and individual users with the content they want whenever they want it and whatever device they want. Wind Vision is the new way to watch TV,” said Zarkalis.

The service combines broadband content through Wind’s fixed & Internet network and digital terrestrial TV reception without having to install satellite dishes. In addition, the decoder can be connected to the home network both wired and wireless via WiFi, without additional cables.

The system is also capable of Ultra HD reception.
