The prices of both the Basic and Standard packages (which usually cost £5.99 and £7.99 respectively per month) have also seen reported increases of £1.
A Netflix spokesperson told Digital Spy: “We are testing slightly different prices to better understand how members value Netflix. Not everyone will see this test and we may never roll out these specific prices beyond this test. Our goal is to ensure that Netflix is always great value for money.”
Price hikes have recently occured in the US and Mexico, and will soon roll out in the UAE, so for the same thing to happen in the UK wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
The company plans to spend $15 billion on content this year.
