Mega-satellite operator OneWeb is creating 150 new jobs at its London offices.

The jobs are based at OneWeb’s Global Operations Centre in White City, a few miles West of central London but near the BBC and other broadcasters. OneWeb is looking to launch its global broadband service by 2021.

OneWeb is tapping into some backing cash from the UK Space Agency (UKSA) which helped with a $20 million investment in February.

“Our relationship and investment in the U.K. is extremely important for OneWeb. We will be able to deliver on our mission to provide global connectivity thanks to the forward leaning vision of the UKSA and others,” said Adrian Steckel, CEO of OneWeb. “We are proud to have a base in the heart of London, which is a global tech hub with key talent and a centre of innovation,” Steckel added.
