Spain: Euskaltel launches low cost convergent package

Euskaltel, Spain’s fifth largest telco, controlled by UK’s Zegona, has launched a low cost convergent package at €19.90 a month to boost subscriptions and take position in its forthcoming national expansion.

The package includes a 500Mbps fibre broadband, 20GB of data, pay-TV and unlimited mobile calls for six months at €19.90 (€65 regular price from the seventh month). The offer is aimed at new customers who sign up by September 30th and requires a 12-month permanent contract.

The package also includes over 70 channels, with a library of around 3,000 movies, TV series and documentaries.

This is the first aggressive offer Euskaltel has launched since the entry of Zegona and anticipates new moves in its national expansion plans throughout Spain through the Virgin brand to increase its market presence.

Euskaltel is currently operating in the Basque Country, Galicia, Asturias, Navarra, Catalonia, Leon, Cantabria and La Rioja).
