David Pollack, CEO at Israeli satellite company Spacecom which operates the AMOS fleet of craft, is stepping down.

A formal statement to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange said that Spacecom and Pollack are in negotiations to end his term as CEO.

Recent news has revealed that Spacecom’s major shareholder, telco Bezeq, is planning a shift away from satellite transmission for its YES DTH package and using the internet for channel distribution.

Pollack joined Spacecom from Israel Aerospace Industries, where he held several key positions in the Space Systems Division, and was responsible for international cooperation ventures.

Prior to joining the industry, Pollack served in the Israel Air Force where he held field and staff assignments as a commanding officer. He retired from active military service with the rank of Colonel.
