Sky poll: Attenborough the ideal PM

Sir David Attenborough would be the nation’s dream Prime Minister. A survey of 2,000 adults revealed the popular broadcaster and naturalist beat the likes of Stephen Fry and Jeremy Clarkson to top the poll of which celebrity people would most like to see take up residency in 10 Downing Street.
TV presenters Ant and Dec also featured in the top 10 list (presumably as a double act), along with Harry Potter author JK Rowling and England football manager Gareth Southgate. Steve Coogan’s beloved Alan Partridge character also managed to crack the top 25 list.
The survey was commissioned by Sky to launch its new political drama, Cobra, which stars Robert Carlyle as the PM as the country deals with a national emergency. The 6 part drama airs on Sky One from tonight (January 17th).
