Fight Sports, the combat sports broadcaster, has won a nationwide licence for the next five years from the Swedish MPRT (Myndigheten för Press, Radio and TV). The channel will be launched by pay-TV provider Boxer in across the country on April 1st.

Fight Sports existing distribution along with this DTT launch will push distribution of the network past 1 milion households in Sweden alone.

Since launching in December 2012, CSI Sports has secured multiple carriage deals for Fight Sports with operators across Europe, MENA, Sub Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and the Asia Pacific region that has taken the Fight Sports Network into over 50 countries within seven years of launch.

The programming line-up includes some of the most high profile World Title Boxing events (WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO), World Championship Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts and multiple Martial Arts tournaments from around the world, with exclusive programming produced by Discovery Networks and specialty series, such as Wide World of Fights and KNOCKOUTS! (Featuring Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and Deontay Wilder among other Champions).

“We are proud to have been selected by the Swedish MPRT for a Swedish DTT license and look forward to more success in the Swedish market with this wide distribution,” said Richard and Craig Miele, Co-CEOs, CSI Sports.
