ITN Productions has announced two new appointments to its new regional base in Leeds. Caroline Short is joining as an Executive Producer and Gorana Jelovina will take on the role of Development Assistant Producer.
ITN Productions opened its Leeds office, complete with state-of-the-art edit facilities, as part of its regional expansion plans earlier this year.
A specialist in News, Current Affairs and Factual content for the last 20 years, Short will take on the Executive Producer role in Leeds. Jelovina joins ITN Productions from her role at BBC Studios as Development AP on The One Show.
ITN Productions’ has already secured several out-of-London commissions including a six-part series on Winston Churchill and another Channel 5 series on well-known British historical figures.
Ian Rumsey, ITNP’s Director of TV Production, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Caroline and Gorana to the ITN Productions team. They’re going to help us establish a real regional presence enabling us to make programmes which truly reflect the nation, and their appointments are an indication of how serious we are about securing business and making programmes outside London.”
Short commented: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining ITN Productions, and I can’t wait to head up the team in Leeds, and work with some of the most talented people in the industry.”
Gorana added: “ITN Productions has a world class reputation in innovative programme-making and I can’t wait to build on this from their new Northern hub.”
They will take up their new positions from July.
