July 31, 2020
World-class cycling competition is set to resume across Eurosport and GCN’s channels and platforms this weekend with the men’s and women’s Strade Bianche kick-starting exciting cycling coverage for viewers across Europe and Asia.
The Italian Classic marks the return of the UCI World Tour to screens since Paris-Nice was ended prematurely in March due to safety precautions. Viewers in more than 50 markets in Europe* and Asia** can enjoy exclusive live and on-demand coverage of the men’s race via the Eurosport App and the GCN App with the final hour of the Strade Bianche Femmes also available to stream.
In addition to screening every UCI World Tour event for the remainder of 2020 as well as live coverage of the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta, Eurosport has also added new races to its broadcast schedule including Mont Ventoux, which will be screened live on Eurosport 2 as well as via the Eurosport App and the GCN App on August 6th.
Guy Voisin, Director of Cycling at Eurosport, said: “Eurosport and GCN serve the world’s largest community of passionate cycling fans and we’re looking forward to once again treating viewers to live world-class cycling coverage to enjoy across any screen and at any time they choose.
“The Strade Bianche and the return of the UCI World Tour is just the beginning of an action-packed cycling calendar we have in-store for fans including all three Grand Tours, all five Monuments and every one of the remaining Classics. With the best coverage, expert insight, and interactive content, we will engage millions of viewers across our portfolio of channels and platforms as part of the complete cycling experience for fans.”
