Crunchyroll makes debut at MIPCOM 2020

October 8, 2020

Crunchyroll, a WarnerMedia company and anime brand, will attend and exhibit at MIPCOM for the first time this year.

Crunchyroll will showcase its extensive content catalogue to global customers at the virtual event from October 12th-16th.

John Easum, Head of Crunchyroll EMEA, commented: “Following our acquisition of VIZ Media Europe and its rebranding to Crunchyroll at the end of 2019 as well as our paid subscriber figures surpassing three million earlier this year, it has been an exciting 12 months for us.  We’re seeing a real transformation in the way anime is perceived and accessed across Europe. To support the expanding anime market, we will continue to grow our list of distribution partners and develop new licensing partnerships. We are also actively creating and sourcing new content so we can continue to serve anime fans with more of the high quality programming they’ve come to expect from Crunchyroll. We’re thrilled to be part of MIPCOM for the first time ever and look forward to exploring new partnership opportunities at the world’s leading entertainment content market.”

Crunchyroll’s programming slate will include a variety of titles, available in different countries. Captain Tsubasa, the kids’ football phenomenon, will be screened at 9am CET on October 13th.
