IBC appoints Platform as global comms agency

January 22, 2021

IBC, the event and online community for the media, entertainment and technology industries, has appointed Platform Communications as its communications partner. Platform will support IBC with an integrated strategic communications program, including content creation, media relations and sales enablement.

IBC is a major showcase and business enabler for the technology companies, broadcasters, creators and service providers that shape the future of media and entertainment. The IBC exhibition and conference is held in Amsterdam in September, hosts hundreds of exhibitors and tens of thousands of attendees. IBC also provides digital platforms that enable a global community of over 150,000 industry professionals to share the latest innovations and insights throughout the year.

“In these difficult times, it’s never been more important that we continue to deliver the best opportunities for the industry to make sales, network and share insights. We needed a communications partner that can help us to engage with our global community in the most effective way. We selected Platform Communications because of the strength of its strategic counsel, broad connections and deep understanding of the industry,” said Michael Crimp, Chief Executive of IBC.

“It’s a huge honour for Platform to be chosen as IBC’s communications partner. As an agency, we have been involved with IBC for over 25 years, advising many of our clients on how best to leverage IBC’s global reach, and of course, attending the show and conference to learn and network with the industry,” said Gay Bell, Founder and Chief Executive of Platform Communications. “IBC is central to the industry, creating opportunities to drive sales, collaborate and share best practice. We’re very excited about communicating IBC’s plans for the year ahead.”
