HBO’s Peacemaker will be coming exclusively to Sky and NOW in the UK later this month. All episodes of the series, written and directed by James Gunn, will be available from March 22nd.

Peacemaker explores the origins of the character that John Cena first portrayed in Gunn’s 2021 movie The Suicide Squad – a vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.

As well as Cena, playing the titular character, the series stars Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.

The series debuted on the HBO Max streaming service in Janaury, but has suffered delays in finding a UK home. It has been well received by viewers and critics alike, and a second season is already on order.

The series is based on characters from DC and is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros Television.
