wedo movies HD launches on Magenta TV

May 4, 2022

Video Solutions AG, the media company that owns and operates wedotv AVoD services in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, has launched its speciality channel, wedo movies HD, on Deutsche Telekom’s Magenta TV platform.

wedo movies HD was originally created as a channel for FAST (Free Ad-supported streaming TV) channels, such as Samsung TV Plus. The additional linear distribution on Magenta TV, which is available to over four million households in Germany, provides wedo movies HD with increased visibility throughout the region. The channel is currently available on channel 79.

“As FAST channels mirror the lean-back viewing experience of linear services, it was not a difficult transition to bring wedo movies HD to Magenta TV,” said Video Solutions CEO Philipp Rotermund. “This launch really underscores our commitment to bring our brand to consumers where ever they want to watch. Linear remains an important part of any programmer’s distribution strategy and we are certainly pleased to be working with Deutsche Telekom to expand our reach in Europe’s biggest TV market.”

Video Solutions recently announced that its popular UK and Germany AVoD services W4Free and Watch4, respectively, had been joined under one, unified brand – wedotv.

The service is available on streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV, Samsung Smart devices and Amazon Fire TV; smart phone platforms such as Android and iOS; cable providers such as Netgem TV, Metrological; and directly on the web at www.wedotv.com.

wedo movies HD is also offered as a FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Rakuten TV, Philips, TCL, rlaxx TV, waipu.tv, Netgem, Zesan (Philips) and Xiaomi.
