SiriusXM discounts for truckers

June 3, 2022

By Chris Forrester

North American pay-radio operator SiriusXM is tracking trucking fleets in North America, and their drivers, and offering up to 60 per cent discounts for users. Truckers and fleet companies operating delivery vehicles can now save up to 60 percent off the regular rate of a satellite radio subscription, with SiriusXM Pandora offering a satellite and streaming music subscription for $5 a month per radio (plus tax and a Music Royalty Fee) with a minimum of two hardware radios on an account.

SiriusXM Pandora is targeting truck drivers and fleets by promoting channels it thinks will most appeal to truckers, including country music stations The Highway and Y2Kountry, talk programming from Howard Stern, the company’s own trucker-focused Road Dog Trucking Radio and an audio simulcast of the Fox News Channel.

The entire SiriusXM satellite and streaming radio line-up is accessible through the fleet discount programme, with the subscription being offered appearing to be SiriusXM Pandora’s top-of-the-line All Access tier.
