ShortsTV on Prime Video Channels in France, Sweden

October 24, 2023

ShortsTV, the short film network, has expanded its Prime Video Channels service to France and Sweden.

First launched in 2020 in the UK, Netherlands and Italy under the ShortsTV brand, and in Spain as TVCortos, the streaming service is now available in eight markets, including the US and India.

This comes in addition to ShortsTV being in over 100 million households across four continents with its linear and FAST TV networks and ShortsTV+ mobile app.

Subscribers to ShortsTV with Prime Video Channels are able to watch Oscar-winning and nominated shorts, such as Martin McDonagh’s crime thriller Six Shooter, the heartfelt animation One Small Step, and romantic drama On My Mind, as well as some of cinema’s biggest stars, including Oscar winners Olivia Colman and Judi Dench, Oscar nominee Isabelle Huppert, fellow French icon Catherine Deneuve, Belgian sensation Matthias Schoenaerts, plus many more.

There is also a focus on local language shorts with French highlights such as the tense Oscar-nominated drama Fauve and LGBTQIA+ drama Marguerite; and the Swedish comedy Grab Them and acclaimed love story Foggy Days.

“Our short films come from a wide range of genres that exemplify the medium’s ability to draw in audiences with compelling characters and stories in just a few minutes,” said ShortsTV’s Director of Programming, Jade Tan.

“ShortsTV is the place to be for film fans wanting the world’s best short movies. They’re unmissable and we’re excited to be able to entertain more Prime Video customers in new markets,” said ShortsTV CEO, Carter Pilcher. “Watch this space for new launches coming soon.”
