Vobile joins BASE and DEGI

Digital content protection and transaction services specialist Vobile has become the newest hybrid member of the British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) & DEGI: The Digital Entertainment Group International.

It joins the 80 plus organisations within the BASE and DEGI community of members and partners at a time of collaboration, conversation, ongoing change and rapid growth within the home entertainment industry, highlighted by recently released data noting the value of consumer spend across the UK Home Entertainment Category rose to £4.9 billion (€5.7bn) in 2023, up 10.6 per cent Year on Year (YoY).

BASE and DEGI link creators, distributors, retailers, technology companies, digital service providers, agencies and audiences on both local and global levels. It prioritises understanding audience behaviour and industry progress, shaping industry response to critical issues. Through its dedicated unit within the long running Industry Trust for IP Awareness, BASE consistently captures, analyses and disseminates insights on piracy behaviours. The work of the Industry Trust, informs sector strategies and highlights the impacts of IP infringement in tandem with educating consumers about the risks associated with IP violations.
